I'm Melissa, licensed cosmetologist and make up artist. Making people feel and look beautiful is one of my passions.
It all started when I was a young girl in Nigeria. I would watch a stylist at a shop across the street from my house braid hair and I would go home and practice on my grandmother's hair. As I grew older I always had to have dolls with long hair because I had to braid or style their hair in some way. In high school, I started charging people for my hair care services and used my talent as a part time income while in college.
I obtained a bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management and Marketing from Oklahoma State University. It is a goal of mine to open my own salon/spa/supply and or cosmetology school in the near future. After about a year and a half working in my field of study, I decided to obtain my cosmetology license. I attended Cosmetology Career Center, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, in Carrollton, Tx. While at CCC, I was a part of the Phase 2 honor program where I was a top producer in service and retail dollars.
My goal as a hair stylist and make up artist is to ensure that every guest that sits in my chair enjoys their service experience from beginning to end. I pride myself in creating exactly what my guests request. I am an advocate for healthy hair and will not do anything that I feel will jeopardize the integrity of my guests hair.
